  I searched Google for Unitarian Universalist churches nearby. UUCSC came up in the results and was fortunately within walking distance. My first impression was good. This church was alive with jazz music, greetings from men and women young and old. We didn't passively listen to the pastor talk about the Bible. We went out into the community to try to change things for the better.

  A warm, caring, open-minded and welcoming church where you can BELIEVE WHATEVER YOU WANT. Yeah, it's no ordinary church, and UUism is no ordinary religion. If you were raised believing religions were strict and indoctrinating, with no sense of actually helping people, you should check out the Unitarian Universalist Church of Studio City--services every Sunday morning at 10 AM. All kinds of other meetings, too--book clubs, young adults group, meditation, gardening--you name it.
  
  If you don't live near Studio City, check out one of our other churches (Santa Monica, Northridge., etc.)

  The last reviewer was for the AA meeting at this location- not the church. I've been attending weekly services for the past 3 months and have greatly enjoyed this local community non-dogmatic church with much social activism. Why don't you come check it out!
